Also I think they need to give a decent contract offer to TVR and hope he says yes. He’s a perfect #4/#5 defenseman who can play up in a pinch.

It's been repeated more than once and also by Vogel so I take it at face value. MacLellan tends to execute on his intentions. Of course, MacLellan would never broadcast an intent to move out core pieces if it was in the cards but for ownership reasons I'll believe that when I see it.
