He looks like a player on the team. Feharvary looks like a player on the team. Protas and Leason look like kid fill ins. McMichael looks like he belongs there.
I can see now why Buffalo snagged him and gave him a look. I would say he is staying

This is how a good veteran team wins. They aren't rattled after 2 quick goals and do enough to get an important win on the 2nd back of b2b.

Caps are 2nd highest scoring team in the East with decent goal differential. Impressive considering the circumstances.

AJF with 13:03, that's surprising.

I thought it was Hags at first with the beautiful one touch pass to Hathaway for goal #2 but alas.
Big test is Sunday. I never count Pittsburgh out and they always seem to play us when things are going well. Here's to the youth in changing those fortunes.
They both make league minimum, I imagine you can keep both without too much trouble. Waive Cholowski instead

Lots of good things going on. 4th in the league in goal differential. Hopefully getting the vets back gets the PP going. Carlson needs to wake up. Hags is awful per usual, but, whatever.

Good win. We didn't play our best defensively but we found a way. Sammy was decent tonight. None of those goals were really his fault. He made some very good saves but he really needs to work on positioning. He made some saves look more difficult than they should have been.

Is Crosby back? Malkin is injured. They have even bigger question mark on G than us. So we might be meeting their AHL team on Sunday (it's not like we are full roster either haha).

Do we need to start giving some props and huzzahs to Ross Mahoney. Apparently, unbeknownst to even the Caps until recently, he spotted a lot of guys who can play in the NHL

Crosby is out for Covid, even if he plays, he's not a problem for now, he played one game this season and was awful, probably out of his form.

Well....That wasnt the question. Wanna try the question that I asked? The Caps are keeping Cholo for a reason. I dont think its a decision to be made til Mantha returns anyway. I was just wondering if there were room for 1 which it would be.

They are obviously concerned about the rookies making a rookie mistake. Any NHL coach would do that.
But the young guys have played very well. I haven't seen alot of mistakes from them.
