Milan Lucic.............. 5 years @ $6,000,000......$30,000,000
Bobby Ryan.............. 4 years @ $7,250,000.......$29,000,000

Brooks Orpik............ 1 year @ 5,500,000.............$5,500,000
Tyler Ennis ..............1 year @ $4,600,000...........$4,600,000
Matt Moulson ..........1 year @ $3, 975,000...........$3,975,000

This might end up as a training exercise for me, as I usually have trouble with player values at the best of times.

Make an offer. 30 million across 5 years for Lucic and 13 million across 3 years for Sutter. What is that 17 million and 2 years worth to your club?

The answer is not a second round pick.
2018 2nd + 2019 2nd + Tyler Benson??

Again what where is the incentive for Vancouver? We have an overpayed role player, who in fact has a role, and we get two second round picks to get someone that would block our kids from moving up and adds a ton of cap and length of contract.

Would you take a second round pick for Sutters or Gudbransons contract being added to Edmontons roster?

Honestly, I could see Hossa + Nashville 1st for Hutton, or something like Ryan + pittsburhg 1st to vancouver

Hossa would require a little bit more value, not a ton mind you, at 5.275 for 3 years.

Ryan's contracts is a lot worse and were not comparing apples to apples here. Ryan makes 7.25 million for 4 more years, and there isn't a pre existing skin condition we can use to bail on the guys cap hit. On ice performance means nothing to us, it's just the contract and the total dollars, as well as the ease of moving or hiding the cost.
