Shaya has broadcasted three Carolina games. He has been pushing publicly for an NHL gig. He probably already knew about this.

Shaya is popular. I don't like his style personally, but he should be in contention. Binghamton's pbp Rob Lippolis also did a game for Matty last season. I like him better. He was a rough in the Binghamton Devil's inaugural season but really grew into the position. I loved Rob's transparency.
