The potential issue I see with those 7 is that Svech is the only one that has size and plays with physicality. If KK could play wing and could play like he did last night every game, he would be a good option to play that role.

It's only 1 game so we need a few games for the new guys to gel and get used to the system before making any major changes.

Aho has never really really gelled with Svech (and vice versa).
After recovery from his last injury, Svech has really not excelled (yet?) - and after adding Guentzel and Kuzy, Mr Svech pretty soon needs to prove that he still deserves to be top 6 on this very good team.

It's a mystery that NHL teams still usually have the same starting lineups for their home games and away games - you have that last change advantage at home and it would be natural to have quite different lineups for homegames and awaygames.

Svech is a bit puzzling to me, because his toolkit suggests 40-goal player and his production keeps saying 30-goal player. And it’s not like he’s a “no toolbox” guy or anything, he has good instincts for the most part. He just doesn’t quite do the things he seems capable of doing.

I’ve come around to thinking he needs a little more deceptiveness in his shot. He’s got a great natural release, but he seems to want to just rip it past goalies. I look at a guy like Pastrnak, the way his range of different releases leaves goalies guessing, and that’s what I’d like to see Svech add to his game. I think that could be worth another 5-10 goals a season for him.

Svech hasn’t looked himself a lot this year and he still is managing being almost a point per game player. Guy is a stud. But can be a top player in the game if he could consistently find his game.

Svech has improved his defensive game (yeah, not why we drafted him), but it shows he's putting in the work. Plus he's still only about a year removed from major ACL surgery. It seems to me he's only over the last handful of games put the "power" in his power forward game. As was said, he's about a point per game guy who keeps other defenses occupied. It allows us to ice a line w/Necas, Kuznetsov, and Guentzel which will continue to give teams significant match up problems. Right now our line construction seems nearly perfect. Give it a bit of time and I think we'll continue to see what we saw last night....balanced scoring across all lines.
