Didnt Lemieux score 133 goals...Was he 17 then....If so 50 in 50 is not such an accomplishment....

Here's Lemieux's stats. He was born on Oct. 5 1965.

1981-82 Laval Voisins QMJHL 64 30 66 96 He was 16 this year
1982-83 Laval Voisins QMJHL 66 84 100 184 He was 17 this year
1983-84 Laval Voisins QMJHL 70 133 149 282 He was 18 this year.

Don't forget this was a very different era in hockey as well. It is impossible to compare the single season marks by these players. Just as it will be impossible to compare NHL'ers from this era to NHL'ers playing even 15 - 20 years ago. The point totals that we've seen in the past will never again be seen.

Lemieux didn't even finish first in league scoring when he was 17, he was third behind Lafontaine and Verret, Crosby's been leading scorer in the CHL for two years now. He has no intentions of letting up. How his game will fare in the NHL, who knows.

No it looks like a one way dirt road the way you go on about Crosby. We really don't care if you hate Crosby, just stop posting stupid siuations like this when his team is winning. I thought he played excellent, he would have had atleast 3 assists had that defensmen been able to finish. Thats while having Kejci and a defensmen wraped around him all game.
