Visually impressive, creatively bankrupt. About what I expected.
There is a STRONG wave of 80s nostalgia running through media right now. The soundtrack might be fun, at the very least.
He complains every year. Not kidding.
I've read that dead silence won't be back in the game. Although that was a while back, if that is true and SBMM exists, I will not buy for the first time ever. Those two changes to MW are things that I abhor.
Other than that, everything else I have seen so far looks good.
I've been complaining since the series started spinning its wheels and relying on a mix of nostalgia and regurgitated ideas to drum up sales.
They botched Advanced Movement (well, at least in comparison to TitanFall and other high-mobility games), and basically curled up into a ball instead of saying, 'ok, that didn't work, short of trying again to get that idea right, what else can we do to evolve this decades old formula while FPS design accelerates past us'.
I just want COD to be exciting again. Stop turning this series into EA sports annual updates, and offering nothing I can't already experience by popping in a game I bought in 2007 or 2010.
I'll also never understand why dedicated players would want fewer tight, exciting, back-and-forth matches, but whatever. Seems to be a common complaint. I want an SBMM playlist for the good modes like Cyber Attack, Search and Destroy, Headquarters and Hard Point.
