Yea, goalies are garbage but that is somewhat on the skaters who took all the money. Maybe insulate them better? And don't think you can just win against any team by simply showing up to the rink.

I mean we see around the league, having money doesn’t mean you’re going to have a good goalie. You need to draft and develop one really. Colorado was the exception to the rule but in the cap era having an internally drafted and developed goalie is your best shot at a cup.

Let’s hope one of Woll or Hildey is the answer

It was a normal game start. The Leafs had 2-3 good forechecking shifts, good zone time and then Samsonov let in goal number one. Matthews came back quick after that but you got the sense the Leafs would be running uphill all night... and they stopped... putting in Jones didn't stop the bleeding as by that point the bad energy from Samsonov had already impacted the whole team. After that deadhead Timmins/Domi on the PP resulting in the 6-3 goal, who cares?
