What a choke by the Rays today. Terrible managing to keep garbage pitchers in way too long. Hope this doesn’t carry over, as May is a very tough schedule and not full of cream puffs like April was.

Who woulda thought that the Rays are first in EVERY offensive and defensive stat at any point in their MLB season? Incredible, and it ain't flukey.

Pull out your rain sticks and do whatever you were doing this time last year so the Magic win the draft lottery. Sweet Jesus please.... PLEASE!! They all pack their shit and leave for the Lakers. Can we please get the redo of the 90's? Please?

Another collapse by the Rays. This team may have the hitting to win a title, but the starting rotation made of paper and a sketchy bullpen do not inspire a shred of confidence.

Rays bullpen is straight trash. That's 5 or 6 games now they've flushed away multi run.late inning leads. Instead of being g 37-7 and an 8 5 game lead, they only are up 3.5, and Baltimore is a much more well rounded team. Either they go out and get a true closer or a couple strong late inning guys, or thos team has no chance at a title, none.

Blow a three run lead with two outs in the 9th, score two runs of your own in the 10th, and then give up three more runs in the bottom of the inning. That's honestly inexcusable, I'm not sure I've ever even seen that.

Maybe that particular scenario hasn't happened but it reminded me a lot of the bullpen from 2005 to 2007. I remember reading somewhere once that in one of those seasons the Rays would have won 100 games if it wasn't for something I can't remember. Something like runs given up after the 6th inning or an ERA under 4.50 instead of like 6.70 or whatever ridiculous shit they were all at. I swear every guy they put out was good to give up 2 runs an inning

Look at that, pos Poche comes in and likely costs the Rays another game. How long until Cash gets it through his head that this guy sucks and needs to be dfa'd asap?

ERA followed by innings pitched. The Rays bullpen desperately needs help.

Fleming - 3.59 - 42.2
Chirinos - 2.79 - 29
Beeks - 4.73 - 26.2
Kelly - 4.21 - 25.2
Poche - 2.41 - 18.2
Faucher - 6.32 - 15.2
Criswell - 6.46 - 15.1
Thompson - 6.60 - 15
Cleavinger - 3.00 - 12
Fairbanks - 1.54 - 11.2
Diekman - 6.75 - 5.1

Fleming and Chirinos are more glorified starters that usually get an opener before they work 5 or so innings. I'm surprised Poche has that good of an era, since most of the time he comes in it seems to be a disaster in the making. Overall though I agree, if this team wants to be a real WS contender this year, the hitting and starting pitching are mostly fine, but without at least two good adds for the bullpen, they'll go nowhere in October.

Bullpen gets slaughtered again today with Beeks giving up 6 runs in the sixth leading to another loss. It's crazy to think this team could possibly still have less than 10 losses if their pen wasn't such dogshit. Rays had an early 4-0 lead.

Beeks is terribad. He is genuinely one of the worst relievers I have ever seen throw for us. He'd have fit right in with guys like Shawn Camp, Casey Fossum and Brian Stokes in that **literally** historically bad bullpen of 2007

The majority of the Rays bullpen is a dumpster fire. That was yet another game where the offense did more than enough and the bullpen pissed it away. It was the 3rd or 4th game alone Beeks has thrown away. I think they'd be like 49-10 right now if they had a competent bullpen, maybe even a little better. If they don't add a true closer and at least one side middle relief guy before the deadline, they're not doing a thing in the playoffs.

Oh look, the Rays about to flush away yet another game to the pathetic A's. It's absolutely atrocious that this team is at best going to split this series(and likely will lose it).
