Right. No point in playing Burns this season anyway. Sit him and rest him till next year.

We are done with this season. I would rather not make the playoffs this year with TMac and the players we have because it just gives DW a false sense of the team being decent.

Would love to have MacKinnon but with our luck, do you guys really think we land the #1 overall even if we are a non-playoff team??

Burns not out on the ice today. Neither is Havlat.

If the Burns injury is serious or season ending, it makes the decision easier to just start trading our vets for picks/prospects. Lets do this DW.

P.S: Looks like no Wingels on the ice either.

Brent Burns, Martin Havlat and Tommy Wingels not on the ice for #SJSharks practice today.

Isn't that the last thing Burns needs? More confusion about how he's supposed to play and what position? Didn't they do try that experiment in Minnesota and it failed horribly?

They tried, it wasn't awful. Produced well for what would be a third line spot. Played like a tweener forward. Think Wingels with a better shot. Not real good on doing front of net duty.
