David Desharnais has been a puck-possession marvel; both this past season, as well as during the 2011-12 season. In fact, Desharnais had the top puck-possessions success-rate among forwards in each of the past two seasons. Expressed simply, this means Desharnais was more likely to maintain puck-possession, and less likely to give the puck away than any other Montreal forward; two years running!

As the numbers below indicate; through the first 3 games the 2013 opening-round playoff series against the Ottawa Senators, Desharnais' strength has become his weakness.
