Jaden Schwartz is a top 6 winger who’s defensive metrics are selke level. He creates chaos on the forecheck and has skill and finishing ability.

he’s not being dealt fir a 28-31st ov pick.

I’d say it’s nick robertson and 3rd ish type of deal for Schwartz which I doubt either team do

If the leafs try to ride Campbell in the playoffs, i don't think they'll make it far, so I'm going to say it's not a smart deal, maybe Kerfoot instead of Freddie? 1st in 22 is more valuable than a 1st in 21 IMO, so it should be fair.
They might be better off with David Ayres in net.

Andersen is being included as a cap dump, but nothing additional is being added for the Blues taking him on. I don't see how this is a good deal for the Blues.
I think the intent is right, but the pieces aren't. Schwartz as a UFA rental would be a good idea for Toronto, but if I'm the Blues I wait and see what other offers come across.

You surely don't know Jaden Schwartz.

And... where's the benefit for the Blues here? We're trying to make the playoffs, have injuries, and need help.
The OP assumes we're not. In 2 weeks, we might not be.

Toronto's main problem is the goalkeeper.

Two disabled: Frederik Andersen and Jack Campbell
You take Andersen.

TOR Stanley Cup 2021 goalkeepers:
Jack Campbell and Michael Hutchinson. :help:

Procedure Toronto:
First a healthy goalkeeper, after Schwartz (a good player).

The compensation may be different.

Dude you are not getting Schwartz. End of story.

I don't really see why the Blues would be sellers. They're the clear favourite to hold onto that playoff spot in the West.

My only thoughts are that I would have expected a proposal to help out a team like the Oilers rather than the Leafs.

I just don’t see Toronto and St. Louis as good trade partners. Schwartz is worth more than a late first round pick and I’m not real familiar with their prospects.

The Darkest Timeline
As much hate Anderson is getting right now from some leafs fans, Anderson isn't moving until the off season if the leafs decide to go in different direction.

Anderson is leafs number #1 goalie going into this playoffs. LMAO if the leafs go into playoffs with Jack Campbell and Michael Hutchinson, the shit show that happen would hilarious to watch even has leaf fan

And no real contender trades for a number one goalie at the trade deadline or near (not that i think the leafs are real contenders tbh) I just want to see 2nd round playoffs with leafs in it

I mean, it didnt work out for them but STL traded for Ryan Miller at the deadline not too long ago and were considered the or one of the favourites to win that year.

Edit: Should note that I dont believe the Leafs need to trade for a goalie, but I dont necessarily agree with what you said.

Dude you are not getting Schwartz. End of story.

I wrote in commentary # 23:

“Toronto's main problem is the goalkeeper.

……

“First a healthy goalkeeper, after Schwartz (a good player)”.

I will explain my idea. Unnecessary risk must be eliminated.

First a healthy goalkeeper, after any NHL player (good player).
First a healthy goalkeeper, after Schwartz (a good player).
First a healthy goalkeeper, after Foligno (a good player).

First a healthy goalkeeper, after ????? (a good player).

Good luck.

So just remove Schwartz and we good.

Topic of this forum thread: Proposal: Blues –Leafs.

“Schwartz to Toronto for 1 Roundpick 2022 Fredrick Anderson (for the Cap)”
- written in commentary # 1.

It would be weird if I posted another player in this thread.
Schwartz is an example, it could be any NHL player.

You write
“So just remove Schwartz and we good“ It's easy for me to fix this.
I will repeat part of my commentary # 42. An example is a little-known NHL player.

"Toronto's main problem is the goalkeeper.
Two disabled: Frederik Andersen and Jack Campbell
I will explain my idea. Unnecessary risk must be eliminated.
First a healthy goalkeeper, after any NHL player
(good player).
First a healthy goalkeeper, after Draisaitl :laugh::laugh: (a good player)".

Good luck. :)

You just called Schwartz a middle 6 winger? On what team is he a 3rd liner?
No team. I guarantee he would be on the top line with mathews especially the way he drives to the puck. Lol middle 6 winger. Why are leaf fans so clueless about other teams.

Schwartz is a player I've wanted for awhile. If the Blues aren't going to re-sign him and he's willing to re-sign in Toronto I'd definitely be all over this, but it would likely cost an additional asset for Andersen.

I don't really see why the Blues would be sellers. They're the clear favourite to hold onto that playoff spot in the West.

They probably won't sell, but their path to the playoffs is far from certain. 17 of their remaining 21 games are against Colorado, Vegas and Minnesota. While Arizona only plays those teams 9 times in their remaining 21.
