The Blues had lost 8 consecutive day games before the win against the Blackhawks on November 26, 2023. We've been outscored by an average score of 4.6-2.2.

I'd say we've struggled.

I think they should do something like this:
reg win - 3 pts
ot win - 2 pts
ot loss - 1 pt

I've thought that this is the most rational approach to points. It's encourages teams to fight for a regulation win instead of coasting to OT (which might as well be a different sport)

Better yet, 2 pts for a regulation win, 1 for OT win, and nothing if you lose. The loser point is a silly concept
