There was a year that basically every Habs proposal regardless of the player coming back was

Ryder + Halak + 2nd.

It got offered so many times it has become a meme here. Anytime the same players show up in every proposal from a team it tends to get thrown out there. This was a hilariously bad example for using that joke as those players are never thrown around in trade proposals lets alone so commonly for that to apply.

It is also used as a volume of lower assets expecting to get a much better asset (99.9% of proposals on here), which again this is not a good example of that.

What do you mean tanks further? Tavares has been awesome this season. If he was playing in the 1C role, he’s PPG+. We don’t need him in that role though.

you can have good players that aren’t putting up PPG. Look at Barzal on NYI.
