Don't the Leafs value Tavares, since you guys named him captain as of 2019-20 (2nd season in that role)? Doubt the team would make him go through that, and I also think that value wise it would at most be straight up JT for Eichel (similar cap hit, similar production). Highly doubt the Leafs would add, and wouldn't give up prime young assets for yet another center.

Veteran leadership, a first in a very exciting draft, and a prospect is all good but Hyman is the man piece as a rental for the playoffs. Great value for Buffalo.
