Hawks could be picking #1 this year at draft with some of these options on roster

Is there even going to be a TC? Don't see TT coming over. Saad has a pretty good shot of cracking the roster, but would prefer if he stayed the year in Rockford to be the man.

94-95 Habs went from contender before start of year to being out of playoffs
94-95 Rangers nearly missed playoffs after winning cup/presidents trophy yr before

I expect Hammer and Frolik to be moved. I have Saad in the top 6 not because I believe he belongs there yet, but that is where he was at the end of the regular season/playoffs and Q is will keep him there even if he isn't ready for it (just like having Leddy on the 2nd pairing and the pk).

Leddy struggles defensively
We have 2nd worst G duo in NHL (Flyers still worst IMO with Bryz/Leighton)
Kitchen is still here

The 94-95 Hawk team went to the conference finals sweeping the Canucks on the way who had just gone to the Finals the year before. Granted the Hawks had Ed Belfour in net but in a shortened season At least it's not a marathon just to get to the playoffs and you never what moves the Hawks might make during the year or rookies that will step up.

Desharnais has got 60pts once and is an RFA..Hammer is a decent top 4 dman signed this and next year. Maybe not much of a plus.

It's time to have a talk with Sharp. Start by congratulating him for getting that big payday he earned. Then tell him that we appreciate that he's a team leader and well ... we need him to step up and play the 2C spot. Barring a trade, he is our best option - period.
