You have to bring the entire Straka Nylander Jagr line. They were one of the best lines in the league at the time.

Agreed. Their chemistry was unreal. Straka was the "weakest link" but I think without his speed and work ethic the other two would have suffered. Great PK'er as well.

Surprised to see Nylander popping up a lot after just one year....was it just his chemistry with Jagr?

He was on the Rangers for 2 years before the front office changed directions and went with Gomez/Drury. He, Jagr and Straka were an amazing line.

2 years can be long enough to be memorable Ranger
Similarly. Poddubny had just those 2 amazing NYR seasons, centering Sandstrom

I am disappointed Ivan Baranka isn't on the team.

Unfortunately there were several other options. Glass, Hollweg, did not even make the team.

Really they have made some very good moves over the years but they always seem to make some missteps as well. If they would just avoid some of the more obvious ones over the next 10 years it would be great. They seem to have put more value in character, intangibles, name recognition, past performance... I'd like to see them maybe just move the needle towards current talent over some of that. Then figure out a way to add in that other ancillary stuff need be.
