I have always loved all of the fights scenes in the movie 300. It hasn’t been listed yet either.

Lots of great posts on here, so I won't repeat them.
CGI or not, and probably an unpopular opinion, these scenes were pretty great too

Car throwing scene in Bad Boys 2
The crane/motorcycle chase in Terminator 3
Pod race in Star WarsPhantom Menace

My favourite is probably the shootout from Heat because the conclusion doesn't feel pre-determined. There's a significant threat-level for all the characters that you don't usually feel when watching an action scene.

Realism aside, The Winter Soldier probably had the best action scenes start to finish of any movie I've seen, at least from an entertainment standpoint.

Kung Fu Hustle is packed with innovative scenes. It's maybe not a "good movie" per se, but the action scenes are so mesmerizing that it just pulls you right through the narrative.

-Anything from either Raid movies is up there.

-Terminator 2 chase or fight scenes

-Any of the battles in Aliens

-The cat and moue battle between the Enterprise and the Reliant in Star Trek II

-IP Man series fights

-Satire movies like Crank 1 and 2, Shoot 'Em Up, and Hardcore Henry

-Intro to Predator 2 was insane

-Last but not least: even though it was essentially a Daredevil rip off, the staircase battle in Atomic Blonde she has trying to get the defector out of East Germany to the soundtrack of Cities Of Dust by Soiuxsie And The Banshees was perfect

I saw the kitchen fight and the brother vs Mad Dog from The Raid films mentioned on page 1. I'd add the two hall way fights from the first and the brutal scene with Rama, Baseball Bat Man and Hammer Girl just before the kitchen fight.

Knife store in John Wick 3.

The movie sucks, but The Batman warehouse scene from Dawn of Justice is a blast.

Anything Dominic Toretto does in The Fast Saga that defies logic is fine with me.

Special mention to anything from Netflix's Daredevil and The Punisher.

I just watched Terminator 3 and thought it was pretty funny how that bathroom fight scene was kind of the over-the-top version of the same thing in Mission: Impossible - Fallout.

Anyway, nothing to do with "best" of anything,...

Wasn't able to find it in one video, but this is my all-time favorite.

The bathroom fight in True Lies preceded it and was pretty good. I wouldn't be surprised if the less creative people making T3 tried to make an over-the-top version of that, especially since both starred Arnie and had a connection to James Cameron.

I just watched that T3 fight scene and, my goodness, the CGI is bad... and here I associated overly CGI'ed fight scenes with newer movies. If we have a "worst action scene in a movie" thread, I might nominate that.

Don't remember the True Lies scene... CGI didn't bother me as much as it normally does, I guess I watch too much crap.

Maybe this one is a bit basic, but...

Everything is just so well done, from the pacing to the camerawork to the effects. 15 minutes of gradual tension-build, and you can still feel that tension after the 100th watch. It really stands up well.

Also, mentioned upthread but still worth posting... probably the two best fight sequences in the MCU movies (the group fight in Endgame was fun, but mostly fan service)

Though quite violent, the Deer Hunter Russian Roulette scene (first one, when DeNiro and Walken are captives) and Scarface's infamous shower/chainsaw were great for tension and action.

The entire Le Mans motion picture is a testament to choreographed action. Especially, when you realize all racing sequences were shot in real time. That is, there was no camera trickery to mimic speed. 110 miles/hour on film was 110/miles hour in reality.

It's funny. I saw this topic, immediately thought of 2-3 sequences, noticed it was an old thread that just got bumped and that I already commented, checked my original thoughts and they're almost exact to my initial thought today. 🤣

I.e. The Road Warrior, Fury Road, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Heat.

So many films with car chases, two memorable ones for me:

W.C. Fields in The Bank Dick-fun stuff when he ends up driving a getaway car

Burt Reynolds in The Longest Yard-Early in the film he takes off with his girlfriend's car and she calls the cops
