keep an eye out for Ivan Baranka. He's leading his Everett tips team to the WHL finals in their first season. He's not flashy but smart and skilled, smells like Rockwell found another Tjutin.
Pushkarev also has a big chance of being a good player from 2003 second round, remember he had as many goals as Ovechkin at U-18, even though he played for like Kazakshtan.thestonedkoala said:2003:
Loui Eriksson
Konstantin Glazachev
Vojtech Polak
Kevin Klein
Kamil Kreps
Tim Ramholt
Patrick O'Sullivan
Shea Weber
Patrice Bergeron...
A ton of good players in 2003, Round 2...
Round 4:
Denis Ezhov
Corey Locke
Paul Bissonnette
Matej Trojovsky
Considering Nash was taken ahead of everyone in the draft, I wouldn't consider him to be much of a contest.Flames Draft Watcher said:Who said anything about "steals"? This was a thread about the BEST pick in a round...
Sorry to burst your bubble, but Baranka has not "led" the Silvertips to the WHL Finals. Hes, if anything, hindered their chances, taking stupid penalties constantly, and making very bad choices in his own zone. Hes even been sat by Kevin Constantine.rnyquist said:keep an eye out for Ivan Baranka. He's leading his Everett tips team to the WHL finals in their first season. He barely averaged a point-per-game this year w/Sarnia this year and was clearly overmatched with his defensive duties in CBJ.

George Bachul said:Are you suggesting that you would select Toivonen or Babchuk over Nash, Bouwmeester, Pitkanen and Lehtonen? If so, All I can say is WOW.
