Sorry guys....not sure if this subject has been talked about or where it fits in. Haven't been on here for awhile. Has anybody heard any rumblings about what the team plans to do with its TV contract for next season? I wanted to contact the team directly but it's hard to find the right contact info. I understand that Fox Sun Sports will become Bally Sun Sports soon. Right now I'm on Frontier which dumped Fox Sun Sports...I wanted to go streaming but Hulu Live Sports and YouTube dropped the network also. The only options left are AT&T Streaming ($85 month) and Spectrum. I thought I could subscribe to NHL Center Ice and at least watch half of the games (away) but during a recent free preview, they blacked those out too. I've heard rumblings that Bally intends to pull its programming from the other two and go on its own as a standalone app. I really don't want to have to switch to Spectrum and then something happens and it's gone again. Has anyone heard from the Team about doing something? I've seen 2 games this year which is ridiculous for a Stanley Cup winning team and I'm tired of watching the Flyers, Penguins, New York etc...

No clue. It's been an unmitigated disaster. Someone on another message board claims if you call up Spectrum and ask for a streaming only TV deal they'll give you one for just like $15 a month, but I dunno how true that is.

I get the feeling that at some point the leagues are going to have to put some pressure on Sinclair. Their teams didn't sign tv deals with Fox Regional Networks to have it turned into a standalone app.

That doesn't even make any sense to me. What's a 70-year-old going to do?

I’m not up to speed on the situation in Denver but wasn’t there an issue with TV coverage for Avalanche games there not so long ago too? Was that resolved?

It hasn't.

Using a VPN with NHL.tv is probably the current meta for viewing online. Next year it'll be ESPN+ with a VPN.

That’s ridiculous. As you said what is gramps from next door going to do?
There's no way that the next wave of contracts are going to allow for so much leniency on what the intent here is supposed to be. The station works out deals with the cable providers. It's a bait-and-switch right now.

On a different note, these Bally Sports graphics packages are complete and utter garbage and we're going to grow to hate them very quickly.
The problem with selling the naming rights. They crammed a sports network into the Bally branding, instead of designing one from the ground up.

Fox Sports doesn't look like Fox or Fox News.

The scoreboard with other results is at bottom of the screen  It covers some ice. It should be at the top.

You gotta be shitting me. How can something so basic be overlooked? What, does this “other results” (bottom screen) come with odds and betting info?

There is so much space being taken up for things that don't need anywhere near that amount of space. The continuous scoreboard is also unnecessary. Fox Sports also would have one, but ti was smaller, more inconspicuous, and it went away after it had cycled through the scores once. It was easily overlooked if you didn't want to see it.

Such frustrating crap.

lol first I have to resort to streaming all the games because of stupid ass cable company shenanigans and now I have to watch the games with an insufferably large scoreboard taking up the entire bottom of the screen. I have bad news for you guys, this is so stupid it might kill the one brain cell I have left and who even knows what that's gonna do to my posting that's probably not great to begin with

What's probably happened is that there's a bunch of new people at the very, very top, and they have to learn things the hard way.

And it was at away games only. Home games didn't have this scum.

If it mean we were getting a Bally's sportsbook or ten in Florida, I'd be cheering more.
