Jones sitting at -15 is so strange.

The next lowest +/- for D is Mantha at -3.

Does everyone just sink with Jones and then rack up +'s away from him?

I know he is being relied upon to shut down the other teams best players and he really isn't doing a good job at it. It's kind of upsetting.

I am also convinced that Bear is dead. Out this long with no word on a concussion is REALLY bad news.

Bear is out for tonight's game, that's now the 14th straight game he's missed. It's so weird that there's been barely a peep from Bako regarding his status. Although concussions are weird and affect everyone differently.

Gregor was talking with Condors' PBP guy Ryan Holt before 3 PM. I only caught the tail end of it. Maybe the status of Bear came up.

Listening to Oilers Now, it was mentioned that Ethan Bear is expected to start practicing with the Condors later this week. A bit of good news as it sounds like he's finally showing progress towards recovery.

Starrett made his debut a few days ago.

The boys didn't make it easy on him. 47 shots against haha. Makes the three goals he allowed look pretty good.

Not sure why the video won't play anyways he's practicing and looks like he is going at a good pace.

Was curious about Fayne and I guess he is pretty much a healthy scratch in Bakersfield with only 6 games this year unless he's been injured?

He was loaned to another AHL team, which opens up another roster spot for us on the Condors.

"Also, according to the Bakersfield Condors Twitter, the organization has loaned defenceman Mark Fayne to the Springfield Falcons. The Oilers are still on the hook for his contract and buried cap hit (which expires at the end of this season), but he won’t be filling up a roster spot on their AHL team."

It's in the last paragraph here:

Oilers dump a contract on the Panthers

Yes thanks. I had posted that a couple weeks ago prior to Fayne being loaned but I appreciate the response!

I've seen him score a few like this down there, apparently his 5th PP goal in his 13 games. While his 5 on 5 play hasn't really been all that great maybe his proper role is just being a special teams specialist with restricted 5 on 5 mins.

Bakersfeild amongst the worst teams for getting scoring from young prospects. So seems our AHL team still is giving prime minutes to the older AHL lifers

The Oilers have no good prospects down there. The only decent ones are defensemen and Bear is the only one capable of putting up points.

The defensemen are getting plenty of minutes, but outside Bear, they're struggling to do anything offensively.

As for forward, what are the alternatives? Platzer is the closest thing they have to a "young prospect" down there.
