That was putrid.

Can't imagine what the Aves would do to us when they get Landeskog and Makar back.

6 wins and 9 losses in the last 15 games.

After the 18-7-1 start the team is 17-15-0. It's looking more and more like that positive early start was nothing more than the new coach bounce.

17-15-0 is nowhere near a panic button record, especially when there's reasonable statistical evidence that we're missing breaks along the way. Maybe we're not really a first place team? Maybe not yet? Let's see what Chevy does to fix that.

If you want a good analysis of how we stack up to all the other playoff position teams, again, let me repost Shayna Goldman's article from last week.

And also, if you don't already follow Ms. Goldman, follow her. And if you don't have an Athletic subscription, get one.

The good stuff.

We haven't really been a first place team. It's more like maybe we aren't a second place team.

seriously it's just frustrating, they put up a number tonight that were 30th in the nhl for goals since mid january, the only way we can win games is if the top six scores 3+ every night which is to much of an ask, everyone points out the record from the start of the season to the middle but the difference between is we actually were getting some bottom six production that has now been lost and will never be found, idk why people expects us to suddenly get better when we have done nothing to address it

The team needs to figure things out. Our top 6 is ice cold and has been for a while now. We got zero support from the bottom 6. We also aren't as diligent defensively as we have been so we are struggling mightily.

Not sure what Chevy is going to do or should do but we aren't one big piece away from contending if our top players continue on as they have. We went all in in 2019 when the team was in a similar spiral and we all know how that turned out. Chevy is going to have to earn his money next week.

What does it say about our supposed vaunted drafting and developing where we don't have a single viable call up that'd be upgrade in the bottom 6? It's 4 goals combined from our 3rd line the past 30 games. Beleive 32 games for our highest paid /tenured bottom 6er

This team needs an entire new third line. Our top 6 wasn't great tonight either. But they've carried the bill the last 20+ games.
