Are those lines confirmed? If so I'm a big fan.

Wilson should be playing with a lot of confidence after his big game on Thursday. I can see that line playing extremely well and working as a decent 2nd scoring line for us.

Cant imagine we'll see the Yak/Sven/Toninato line getting many minutes.

Nice GDT. Love the theme.
3 guys that went 47th overall. Interesting.

As a guy that is way too interested in the draft, I have to point out that Landesgod went ahead of Huberdeau in 2011 and was the 2nd overall, though ;).

Lineup looks as expected although Zadorov - Barberio makes me shudder. Barbie right now is the guy I wouldn't mind forgetting at a gas station while travelling with the team bus...

Man, that "defensive" crop is brutal. The bottom 4 is going to get eaten alive.
Imagine you're the other team's coach and you look at that defense while prepping for the game. Must be hard not to feel confident.

Hope some guys get healthy so Barberio or Mironov can sit. The problem with having both of them in the lineup is that it kinda hurts Bigras. They can't possibly put him on the 2nd pairing because then the 3rd one is Barberio-Mironov (yikes) and since they stuck Bigras with Mironov they'll likely severely limit Bigras's minutes.

Regardless I'm really looking forward to Toninato, even though I'm not a huge fan of that "4th" line. I feel like they could mix things up a little between Kerfoot's line and Toninato's and achieve a little better balance. But whatever, I just want to see what the kid can do.

The same D just beat the Ovechkin Capitals and looked pretty good all game long. And who knows, maybe Barrie is back ...

Mironov was pretty easily the better Dman of the two the other night.

Bigras is the weakest link on that Dcore. He shouldn't be in the NHL right now. I mean Mirnov probably shouldn't either, but Bigras even more so is looking really, really bad as of late.

I'll admit Bigras looks bad out there right now. Unfortunately I do actually think the coaches have mishandled him a bit. But I think putting him out there with Mironov is making things way worse because you simply have no idea what he's going to do positionally or with the puck. And sometimes I think he doesn't truly know either. He wasn't horrible last game, in fact I won't argue with anyone who says it might've been his best game of the year. Still a long, long way from actually being good.

Mironov was a mixed bag last game, which means it was by far his best showing. Maybe he is settling in, I certainly hope so. As for Bigras, he needs to just play through these mistakes. With Lindholm and Nemeth out they have little choice but to play him, and honestly that's the best thing right now.

Benching him won't make him a better defenseman. That would only make sense if we had playoff expectations for this season and couldn't afford to have him cost us points in the standings. What do the Avs honestly have to lose by giving him a chance to work through the rough patch? As of now, he's not even taking ice time away from other defensemen who could use it.

Fun fact: Sven Andrighetto is currently 14th in career points amongst skaters from the 2013 draft, and will probably pass Nichuskin this year for 13th. Of those players, the only player with less games played than Andrighetto is Anthony Mantha.

I got them from the end of Daters blog on Girard. BSN. I'll add a link as a reference. I've gotten used to him adding stuff like that lately.

Fun theme! So we are responsible for the top line and the third pair, sounds about right!

Doesn't it lol? We have developed quite a few more than we drafted though. It would look better if you included guys that spent at least some time in our system or at an age cutoff, but that just sugar coats it lol

I expect Nashville to have a much better idea of what they're facing in Girard. Wouldn't be surprised if he takes a step back tonight, but hopefully he proves me wrong.

Odds lines for tonight games on ESPN:
Ottawa is -185 at home vs Arizona
Nashville is -205 vs AVS

So Arizona have a greater chance to beat the Sens than we have to beat the Preds.

Ill be at Bridgestone repping the Avs at tonight's game. Do you think it would be distasteful to bring a sign that says "Thanks for Girard"
