Despite its huge size India is not a sport superpower so it was nice that an Indian thrower won the javelin-competition.

Agree though. Cool with an Indian gold in an event you rarely see Indians doing well in.

Two outstanding golds for Norway. Lasitskene with gold in the high jump. Hopefully Russia with a clean track and field body will be back in strength for Paris.

And silver medal in triple jump for Kristiina Mäkelä, two medal night for Finns.

World Championship began this weekend. Women's heptathlon just finished with one of the closest finishes that I've seen KTJ beat Anna Hall by 20 points for the gold.

Which events are suffering because of the absence of Russia? Don't get me wrong, I fully support excluding Russia from all sports but it is undeniable that some sports suffer from it more than others.
