Hope Vrbata gets traded. That would give Pulkkinen the opportunity to be on that first PP shooter spot where he does all his damage.

He can still be a good PP specialist in this league. 3rd line sheltered role with 1st PP minutes. That shot is still a weapon not many guys have.

He's just been utilized wrong by Blashill (in the NHL) and Boudreau. Why would they play him inside the box on the PP? Weird.

If they trade Vrbata, I see Pulkkinen being on the left side on the PP.

Well, this is the best chance Pulu has to get consistent ice time. It's either make it or go overseas at this point.

At one point with Detroit he was starting to get on a roll, then he injured his shoulder(?) and lost his ice time/confidence. If he can get more shots on net and improve his all around skating/positioning, he could be a solid top 9 guy.

This was done as a favor to TP and ARI, though it might be one that the Wild regret. Almost concurrent with this trade, Dalpe, against all odds, was taken from waivers by CBJ, AND the Wild found out that Pominville and Parise are going to be out with mumps for who knows how long. With a super heavy schedule coming up, TP might well have gotten some playing time with the big club.

Tuch can be called up, but Lucia is out with an injury. Pulkinnen would probably be next man up if they needed a winger.
