Why? That's about the 10th overall pick. If anything I suspect they will finish better than that. I suspect they will be in the 95 point range +/- 3 points.carolina too high
The Flames above the Ducks... I wish
I don't know about the Flames making the playoffs, but I could see the Ducks having a tough year.
Yeah, currently no Lindholm or Rackell and Gibson seems to have injury issues so any stretch with Bernier will kill their season
Know what, I like Calgary's chances this year.
Solid goaltending, the structure has been there, three solid lines, 2 solid pairings.
There's a chance.
This.I don't think we'll have 13 OT losses. We are too good on 3-on-3
I think it's realistic for us. But the Oilers will be better.
Our goaltending is definitely better, but is it "22 points in the standings" better?

I think the goaltending is probably about 10-14 points better for us. Player development and a structure might take care of the rest.
Not to mention a few of those losses were games that were essentially unwinnable because Backstrom was starting/we had thrown in the towel.
It was "20 points in standings" worse last year than 2014-15 and it is improved beyond what we had then IMO. So a 22 point improvement would not shock me.Our goaltending is definitely better, but is it "22 points in the standings" better?
I just noticed something and it made me have a sensible chuckle. Everyones favorite Pittsburgh Penguin got sent through waivers on the 3rd and cleared, Tim Erixon. It would have been good for the laughs if the Flames claimed him.
Stole this from the "around the NHL" board.
Apparently the Oilers are going to make the playoffs with 85 points.
