but I do look forward to watching the hawks and kings battle in conference finals again.

No sir give me a St. Louis Arizona final. Or a minnesota St. Louis final if possible.

Or hey if Edmonton makes the playoffs

Anyone but the Hawks really. Kings is an added bonus

If the playoffs were to start today :

The Red Wings would play against the Lightning again.

Imagine an NYI vs NYR 1st round, the ratings would be great!
On the flip side, a San Jose vs Phoenix matchup would be weird/boring to watch.

Yawwwn

We either beat tampa close or get blown out
We don't match well with Florida usually but we could probably beat them
Montreal it depends on price
I'd rather face nyi out of any team but that won't happen ever

I tell you what Chicago's worst nightmare matchup is the Avs.

Colorado has their number over the last several years. If that matchup flops out it would be very interesting.

Avs would need Varly to be lights out and play EJ like 30 minutes a night to have a legitimate shot. Duchene and Mack is a scary combo thogh.

I am hoping for another epic Chicago/LA series.

Habs 5-2-15 since December 1st

No, they are 5-16-1 :amazed: But in that stretch they have these stats:
All situations:
OSv: 88.8%
OSh: 5.7%
PDO: 94.5

5v5:
OSv: 90.4%
OSh: 5.3%
PDO: 95.7

They're not as bad as this stretch would suggest and if they can get decent goal-tending they'll be on their feet again. Still think there's a decent chance that they'll miss the play-offs.

TB has won 6 straight, good bye playoff spot.

I've only watched a couple of those games, but (and stats confirm this as well) they've got some crazy bounces going their way. Hopefully they fall of a cliff again. But I guess this is what their stars needed: some lucky wins to get their confidence back. Think they'll finish the season strong and end up wining the Atlantic with a decent margin, as everyone predicted beforehand.

So you're right. My bad. Counted their SO win as a loser point.

It's not just goaltending -- they're having a harder time scoring than the Wings lately. Now that's saying something.

Habs are 1.8 goals per game since December 1st. And in 10 of their last 22 (since December 1st), they've scored just one goal or less.

Just how bad is a 5.7 Sh% exactly? Seems well below average to me, but then again, I'm not completely sure what it's normally suppose to hover around at.
