Dallas in 5. They can shutdown Vegas' offense while also having an edge in goal. Hill and Thompson have been a horrendous tandem the past 3 months.

Edmonton in 4. Talbot sucks. Edmonton knows how to carve up LA at this point.

Yeah, between getting Vegas or LA in our bracket, I'd take LA every time.

At least Vegas and Edmonton should be a long, hard series, so maybe the winner will be tired.
That was a pretty exciting race down to the last few mins of the last game of the year.

The west playoff race broke exactly the way I wanted, surprisingly. Anti @Peen

Edm gets 131 and mcdrai/danault grindfest.
Dallas and Vgk bloodbath.
Toughest teams all out of our bracket until WCF.
This is ideal.

Yup. No excuses here, we have a pathway open to us. Every series can go any way, of course, but we shouldn't be underdogs in anything until the WCF.

The stars just keep lining up for this run to the Cup finals. Canucks can take the Edmonton LA winner, it's 2 rounds that the Canucks *should* win. Then we get whoever survives the Central. It's all in front of them, they just have to do what they have been doing all year and they will be fine.

Maybe Toronto has to defeat all of their playoff demons before they will be allowed into round three? TB last year, Boston this year, Florida next year?

Here's hoping there are some new playoff demons brewing for them...

Bad luck for the Kings, the Oilers are a flawed team but they have all the tools to cut apart that 1-3-1 gimmick.

Dallas got a really hard match up too. I think they edge out the Knights but maybe it's better for the Canucks if they don't? Hmm.

Nothing too over the top on Graves. Clearly they expect way more out of him. It's a big problem if he felt he played fine this season while Pitt didn't see it that way.
Fair but saying that a guy who's going to be 29 years old next month needs to get stronger/faster is pretty interesting. Maybe it's a conditioning/diet problem where he isn't working out hard enough or correctly during the summer, but if that's not the issue then he is who he at this point.
