Most of the TSN expert panel have picked the Oilers as the Cup Champions this year. All but one at least had the Oilers in the Finals.

Which is good. I am happy that the media is calling Vancouver a long shot that could make a cinderella run.

Avs lose Drouin for round 1.

Leafs are without Nylander for Game 1. Should have really rested their big guys instead of chasing #70.

still crazy that nhl playoff are just 1 full off day between end of season.
Doesn’t feel like there’s enough buildup to it.

The best solution has been proposed by posters here. Rosters have to be cap compliant for Round 1. It would immediately correct this nonsense.
It's also a solution looking for a problem though right?

The whole salary hard cap is stupid Covid should have taught us that.

Even more ironic is that playoff ticket prices are way more expensive don't see any cap there......

Kuznetsov scores the first goal of the Stanley Cup Playoffs
His playoff resume is wild, one Conn Smythe worthy run and an bunch of crap performances.

What a player he could have been if he only cared a little more.

Watching the Isles vs Canes and Forsling's play by play is so grating. Pang and Botterril are great but Forsling is so monotone and irritated sounding. Is he really one of the top US broadcasters?

Stone I knew would be back, but the fact Pietrangelo is suddenly practicing out of nowhere is hilarious.

The big news in Canada right now is that the Leafs remain undefeated in the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs.

I'm always torn between wanting to watch them lose efficiently and wanting to watch them lose hilariously. The hilarious losses usually require some hope to be built up and then dashed, so they are riskier, but the payoff is amazing.
