And Timmins earlier in the year.
And Klok walked right at the start of the season.
They've lost 7 D since opening night (while bringing in the aforementioned Mackey and Kesselring)

They're running real thin
waiting on college free agents. they offer a much easier path to the NHL than most franchises.

Valimaki and Nemeth have been much better than expected, though. Valimaki looking like a legit 2nd pair and Nemeth not just press box fodder.

Livingstone would cause at least one of our favorite Coyotes fans to have an absolute spazz attack.

guaranteed this is Arizona not counting how many active bodies they had for their AHL affiliation at the trade deadline

guaranteed this is you not knowing what you're talking about but not letting that deter you from talking anyway no punctuation

Uncleben and rt already pointed out how little sense this makes, but really? You think the GM of an NHL team doesn't have, like, a white board in his office or an Excel spreadsheet on his computer with his organizational depth chart on it? You think in the two years he's been on the job, he just lost track of how many players he had under contract?

A one-month commitment to a veteran player on an expiring contract to help make numbers short-term happens every year. Last season, ARZ acquired Riley Nash off waivers, played him like 30 games, then acquired college free agents and sent Nash back to TBL for future considerations. TBL saved some cap hit, ARZ got a stopgap vet and Riley Nash got to play another season of hockey in the National league. These are tiny favors from one GM to another, they help the AHL team stay competitive and they help the veteran player up his chances of getting another contract next season. Win. Win. Win.
