Just to give more playing time to Viro and Sebrango likely. Not sure if Tucson needed a dman or not. GR is done for this season.

Same. Last I heard he was KHL bound.
That was two years ago. He played a year in the KHL and was pretty good over there, Russia invaded Ukraine and then he came back to North America.

He was on the books as a Red Wings player, not a Grand Rapids Griffins player, which means Steve Yzerman (who hfboards unanimously agrees is a great GM) not just Bill Armstrong (who hfboards unanimously thinks is the worst GM in hockey) thinks he's a solid veteran depth guy.

Little late to be making a playoff push, Arizona
Not too late to help reinforce an AHL team whose borderline playoff roster got gutted by callups last week.

It's something that doesn't really matter when you're GM'ing on XBox, but it does help the development of the human beings on your team to actually have good, capable, veteran teammates to play with. Kampfer's NHL window might be closed, but Nathan Smith, Ben McCartney, Jan Jenik, Slava Kolyachonok, Michael Kesselring ... there are lots of promising young players in Tucson, and having another steady hand on defense will help them all play in competitive, meaningful games for the next month. And if DET doesn't see a future with Kampfer next season, a one month audition might help him get a contract next season too.

I couldn't have said it better.

God damn it!

I've been waiting for the new roster update from EA because the stupid game won't let you trade draft picks in the main menu.

Now I have to wait for the next roster update again, only because you can't move "future considerations" manually either. ****!
Take a step back from the ledge.

guaranteed this is Arizona not counting how many active bodies they had for their AHL affiliation at the trade deadline

They’re undefeated since the trade. And have the 15th best P% since Feb1. Western conference better watch out.

 The AHL trade deadline is after the NHL deadline. Arizona had to call up players after the TDL but their AHL affiliate is in the playoff race. You can be a seller in the NHL and a buyer in the AHL. It happens often.

They also traded Dineen.
And Timmins earlier in the year.
And Klok walked right at the start of the season.
They've lost 7 D since opening night (while bringing in the aforementioned Mackey and Kesselring)

They're running real thin
