I think it's safe to put him as a top-six player, but do you believe he will be franchise player?
Powerplay/shootout/hot dog/trick show specialist maybe.
Better or worse than Wellwood?
which one of the two are playing in the nhl?
I'd love to see him with the big club later this season to better gauge him. I'm not sold at all on him yet.

Bingo. He was great at London, but we won't really know until he's in the pros. I'd love to have him playing for the Iowa Stars right now. Calling him a hot dog / trick shot specialist is dumb, and it only reflects the power of youtube. Redo this poll in the summer of '09.
Cute lacrosse tricks might be a whole lot of fun for guys to do at the end of a practise when the players don't have to listen to coaches barking orders during practises and the guys want to spend a few minutes goofing off before heading to the showers. None of that will earn him a full time or even part time NHL job. In the real time game as an Oiler,Schremp might be facing the prospect of a Dion Phaneuf or Robyn Regehr wanting to staple him to the boards. In other words he won't be likely to get close enough to Kiprusoff to even attempt that lacrosse stuff. Players like Jarome Iginla and Sydney Crosby probably aren't nearly as good with the quirky lacrosse spins, but who cares? Those guys score mostly because they know exactly how much ice the opposing d-men are giving them and go hard to the net through all that lumber out there.
