Speculation: Are we legitimately cursed?

They definitely had intentions to compete this year. There’s no way Dundon is patient enough to purposely “tank”. He says it after every loss, losing makes his skin crawl.

Management 100% thought they would have a competitive team this year and they were also 100% delusional in thinking so.

So what will he do with the people who promised him a winner and delivered this?

He came in saying to the media that you have to spend to the cap to win. He did the exact opposite of that. To me the question isn't "were they trying to compete this year" it's "are they going to try at any point in the future?"

I think Dundon will take a hard look at the people who advised him this year. My fear is he can walk all over them and demand a bad trade trying to make the team better now.

Which may have been what happened this summer with Calgary.
