The Ducks need a backup still. We're in a financial bind so I could see Murray giving up a fairly significant piece if Toronto retains half his salary for this last year. Especially since the bonus has already been paid.

Who will backup in Nashville now that the Blues signed Hutton? Also how about Anaheim? On the subject of trading goalies I could see the Islanders trading Halak(if they need the capspace) or JF Berube(if they decide to keep Halak), not sure if their would be any interest in either

You'd think that the Sharks Preds and Ducks would want a more experienced guy playing backup. Enroth and Ramo probably take two of those spots unless they head to Europe.

We need a backup

San Jose may need a cheap backup, but both Bernier and Pavelec are too pricey, even at 50%.

Yeah the Sharks need a good backup, especially considering how many back to backs we have

I'd like to get Enroth

Well look no further, let me introduce you to Mike Condon. :)

Grosenick will be waived no matter what. There is no way he is going to be the back up.

I'd say Dell has a good chance though (unless we bring in Enroth). He's been consistently great in the AHL.

DW is probably waiting it out right now.

Nonis (guy who was obsessed with Bernier in Toronto) in Anaheim. Bernier 1 year salary retained, I think both teams look at that. If you think no team has interest in Bernier, know the Panthers looked into it. Maybe the Leafs take a bad contract back? who knows. But I see something there. Bernier is better than the garbage on the market right now.

Anaheim's bad contracts are Bieksa and Stoner. Toronto is pretty happy to.start the season with the defensemen we have.

The only thing that would work is Corrado and Bernier for Stoner/Bieksa with retentions and/or picks and/or prospects involved.

MAYBE Marincin instead of Corrado but that would cost more. Marincin has experience playing top pairing for us without trainwrecking and I'm not confident that Stoner/Bieksa have that ability.

Not many spots available, even at the AHL level

ANA : Gibson/? | Tokarski/Hackett/Boyle
They clearly need an experienced NHL backup

ARZ : Smith/Domingue | Peters/Langhamer/Hill
BOS : Rask/Khudobin | Subban/McIntyre/Vladar
BUF : Lehner/Nilsson | Ullmark/Kasdorf (RFA)
CAL : Elliot/Johnson | Gillies/Rittich/McDonald
CAR : Ward/Lack | Nedeljkovic/Altshuller
Carolina might be looking for an experienced/proven option at the AHL level. They could possibly bring back John Muse.

CHI : Crawford/Darling | Johansson/Carruth/Hildebrand (AHL contract)
COL : Varlamov/Pickard (RFA) | Martin/Smith
CBS : Bobrovsky/McElhinney | Korpisalo/Forsberg/Dansk
McElhinney's job could be in jeopardy...

DAL : Lehtonen/Niemi | Lagacé/Desrosiers/Kiviaho
DET : Mrazek/Howard | Coreau (RFA)/Pasquale/Paterson
EDM : Talbot/Gustafsson | Brossoit/Laurikainen
I guess adding some AHL depth wouldn't hurt...

FLA : Luongo/Reimer | Berra/McKenna/Brittain/Stevens/Montembeault
Reimer's signing and Berra's acquisition created an organizational logjam. Montembeault can still be assigned to juniors but he'll count under the 50 contract-limit.

LAK : Quick/Zatkoff | Budaj/Campbell (RFA)
MIN : Dubnyk/Kuemper (RFA) | Stalock/Michalek/Vay
MTL : Price/Montoya | Condon/Lindgren/Fucale
Logjam at the AHL level. Montreal might look to move Condon.

NAS : Rinne/Mazanec | Saros/Gunnarsson
NJD : Schneider/Kinkaid | Wedgewood/Appleby/Blackwood
New Jersey might fear loosing either Kinkaid or Wedgewood on waivers.

NYI : Halak/Greiss |Bérubé (RFA)/Gibson (RFA)/Williams/McAdam
Too many goaltenders?

NYR : Lundqvist/Rantaa | Hellberg/Skapski/Halverson
OTT : Anderson/Hammond | O'Connor/Drieger
PHI : Mason/Neuvirth | Stolarz/Lyon
PIT : Murray/Fleury | Jarry/Maguire
Casey DeSmith who was WBS' starting goaltender during the playoffs could be brought back.

SJS : Jones/Dell | Grosenick/Armalis
Aaron Dell is the projected backup. If the Shark sign another goaltender it will create a logjam at the AHL level.

STL : Allen/Hutton | Binnington (RFA)/Copley (RFA)/Husso
Three decent prospects in the AHL but only one crease...

TBL : Bishop/Vasilevski | Gudlevskis|Wilcox
TOR : Andersen/Bernier | Sparks (RFA)/Bibeau/Kaskisuo
See St. Louis...

VAN : Miller/Markstrom | Demko/Bachman/Garteig
WSH : Holtby/Grubauer | Cannata/Vanecek
WIN : Pavelec/Hutchinson| Helleybuck/Comrie/Philips
Will Winnipeg find a taker for Pavelec?

I think for the most part a lot of NHL teams have their goalie situation figured out. May still be some movement of guys though.

Ramo is still in recovery from a knee injury and will only be hitting the ice by Sep/Oct IIRC. He'll probably sign in December-ish with whoever has the first goalie crisis of the season.

Backups need to take the contract ASAP or this can happen . Again Reimer getting 5 years is comical

Enroth to ducks on cheap

Why is it comical? Lounge won't be back until November-December post surgery and even then no one knows for sure.....

Is Arizona happy with Smith/Domingue going forward? Honest question, I don't know. They just have so many pieces they could move if they wanted to pick up a goaltender, plus cap space (I think).
