all we'll have are our players and murray. melnyk will fill in where murray can't. since melnyk will be working multiple positions, he'll make more money from his salary, meaning he has more money to spend on the team. the more he gets paid, the more we can put on the ice. I really dont think Richardson is looking to leave Bingampton for at least 2 more years. He's had a rough few years and his daughter plays Div 1 hockey nearby. Not that Buffalo would take him too far away, but I get the sense that he is pretty happy where he's at right now and he's pretty grateful to the organization.

it's a 1 yr extension. Also BM said that if luke were to get an offer from anywhere they wouldn't stand in his way.

We can't keep him forever. He will leave to coach an nhl team eventually.

Ted Nolan is doing a fine job in Buffalo. He's loved by the fans and the players. The worst thing Tim Murray could do from a public relations standpoint is to dump Ted Nolan. Maybe in a year or two if the team isn't progressing but to make a change now would be senseless.

Tim said he'd give Nolan every opportunity to form a good working relationship with him, right?

I'd bet Nolan is the most likely scenario as Buffalo HC for the foreseeable future.
