We HAVE to be acquiring a LHD now. Our AHL team needs Oleksy way more than Cracknell. Leads me to believe we are acquiring a LHD to keep Mahura and Welinski down there full time, maybe Larsson too once Fowler is back. Plus with 6D on the roster, it's the only thing that makes sense.

Not really sure on the Oleksy/Cracknell swap, surprised the organization is trading away more defensemen. Gulls seem to need Oleksy way more than Cracknell. Glass is the Gulls' Coreau replacement.

San Diego ranks 27th in Goals For and 19th in Goals Against. Looking at the Cracknell for Oleksy swap in a vacuum, we've added more scoring (Cracknell potted nearly 30 goals in the AHL last season) at the expense of a physical, stay-at-home defenseman. Looking at the swap not in a vacuum, the Gulls have added Cracknell (or Street/Gibbons, if Cracknell becomes the 13th forward for Anaheim) and at least one of Mahura/Welinski, if not both defensemen (assuming Anaheim acquires a LHD in the coming days). Strong net positive for SD.

Its been snowing here for like a month, how did he just now get snow tires? Of course this is coming from someone who has lived in Canada for over 3 years and has never gotten snow tires, don't @ME I don't drive much and its usually only short distances in town.

Cracknell has exactly one NHL level skill, which is getting in on the forecheck and hitting something. Since we don't have any of that, I wouldn't be shocked if he got a look here.
