Hey, I'm back. Sorry, didn't think the draft would go this fast. Give me a couple minutes and I'll make my pick

I had inside knowledge you'd pick him though. I'd thought about taking him a few times but I thought Stansty and Hawerchuck were better. Still I did hope he'd slip and I could use him as a two-way centre.

I am very proud to select Max Bentley, who played with the Chicago Blackhawks, Toronto Maple Leafs and the New York Rangers from 1940-54. In this time he was able to win one hart trophy, two art ross trophies and a lady bing.

The Philadelphia Flyers are pleased to select, from Chelyabinsk, Soviet Union;

Sergei Makarov

2 WJC gold medals - once named best player
8 World Championships
2 Olympic gold medals
1 Canada Cup Championship

11 Russian Championships
8 time 1st-all Star in USSR
3 time player of the year
8 time World Championship 1st team all-star
2 "Gold Stick" awards for the best player in Europe

Calder Trophy in the NHL
Helped lead the Sharks to a stunning upset of #1 seed Red Wings

For my money better than Kurri, and right there with Bossy for the best RW of the 1980's.

The Quebec Nordique are very very pleased to select from Newmarket Ontario, the great Boston defenseman/Right Winger, Dit Clapper. He is the only player to be named an all star at defense and a forward position.

Heres hoping i didn't pull a Larry Robinson and find out that he was already picked, although I did check page four as I was told to do.

Best player in the 80's not named Gretzky. Had he played in the NHL in the 80's, he'd have racked up 600 goals in that decade alone. Unfortunately, when he came over he was already way past his prime and had to adjust to a new ice surface and playing style.

Although you can never teach an old dog new tricks, he still had 4 great seasons.
