Olofsson was a guy I never understood why we didn't sign. He was never a prolific scorer in Junior but he was never touted as a super talented scorer. I suppose for his development, it was probably better for him that we didn't sign him. He's been a good producer in Sweden.

Louis Crevier named 3rd star in last night's 4-1 win by Quebec Ramoarrts over Rinouski in their playoff series in game 3.

Crevier did not get any points ksst night and was only +2 so I guess hexwas given 3rd star for his defensive work in this game in helping keep Rimouskibtob1 hoalbandbonlyv21 shots on goal.

So with Crevier and Quebec beating Rimouski 4-1 in game 3 of their best of 5 game series ,they take a 2 to 1 lead in wins going to game 4 which will be an elimination game for Rimouski ...

For thise unaware the Memorial Cup Tournament starts very late this year (Junex20-29)....

Currently tonight (May 20th) the OHL starts its masters and Western Conference championship series which are best ofv7 games....

Then thecwinnersvofvtgec2 Co Firenze Finals pkay anitger best of 7 for the OHL Championship.


In the WHL they too are starting semi-finals
tonight...Winnipeg vs.Edmobton starts tonight.
These are also 7 game series.

But in the QMJHL they are awaiting 2 quarter finals to end. before they get to semi-finsl series...

As I stated above Louis Crevier and his Quebec Ramparts lead Rinouski 2 wins to 1 in their best of 5 series.

If Quebec wins the next gamevtgey woukd advance to tge semi-fibsl round ...Or they get 2 more chance to advamcevifvthey lose gamec4cand it goesctobgamec5.


Then tge QMJHL semi-finals will be also brstbofv5 games...

Tge QmJHL Final series will be best of 7 .

So in a worst scenario IF Quebec only advances via a Game 5 win in the quarter-final then goes 5 plus 7 to win the entire Q Championship that means potentially a tiring 14 more games before they get to the Memorial Cup against the OHL and WHL plus 1 other team in the round Robin tournament format ...

14more games would I think tire out Quebec if it takes tfat long to win the Q.10


So hopefully for Louis Crevier and Quebec Ramparts they finish off Romouski in game 4 ,then take only 3 or 4 games to win the Semi-final series they advance to...,then take just 4 or 5 more games to the Q Championship...because that would be only 8 to 10 games to take the Q Championship...

Tge qui ker tgey can do it the less tired they will be i tge Memorial Cup tournament.

Not saying Quebec can won the Q Championship...but they should be favorites to do it.

So in 7 post-season GP so far Louis Crevier now has 3g 3a and is +8...

Crevier and Jaylen Luypen (Edmonton Oil Kings) are the only 2 Hawks prospects in Juniors still playing in playoff hockey in tge Q andvtge Dub respectively..

Would've not be great if both Quebec and Edmonton won their League Championships and then would each other in tge Menoroal Cup Tournament as partvofvtgec4vteamscin it....(3 Champions of each League plus 1 other team.

Quebec next takes on Shawinnigan in theircsemi-final best of 5 and itgexwinner of this series wiil play the winner of the Charlottetown vs.Sherbrokje seni-final for the QMJHL Championship which is a best ofc7 .


Tge Memoriak Cup will be held in Saint John New Brunswick ...

The host team will be the Saint John Sea Dogs who will join the Chamions of the 3 CHL leagues in a roubd Robin format with the 2nd and 3rd place of the round robin facing off in a seni-final
game while while the 1st place finisher ofvthe round Robin rests with a bye till the Final game.

There is a scenario in case of a tie in points forc3rd place in tge round Robin whereby the 2 tied 3rd place tens face each other in an elimination game...the winner then plays the 2nd place team and the 1st place team avoids pkaying until the Final .Tgat is tge Memorial Cup format.

So let us hope both Crevier and Luypen make it to that Tournament with tgeir teams.8

Quebec took Game 1 oftheir QMJHL seni-final series with Shawinnigan by a 3-2 score last night... Louis Crevier scored his 4th goal of tge playoffs by getting Quebrc's first goal...

He now has 4 g 3a and is +9 in 8 pkayoff games .....

Not bad for a supposedly "defensive defenseman"...

Hawks got a steal by drafting this huge dman in tgec7th roubdvof his draft .

Quebec wom Game 3 of their QMJHL semi-final series by a 3-2 score this afternoon.


Louis Crevier was named 1st star of the game even though he only got 1 routine teriary assist on the PP which was the GWG ..

He was -1 for the game so whatever he did to merit 1s star must have been for things other than mulri-piints or for gaudy +/-


Usually the GWG scorer gets a star or a guy with multi-liibts in a game or ...but maybe he just played well on most shifts so they noticed...Whater hexwas named 1s t star today .

The game was in Shawinnigan and the 2ndxand 3rd stars of he game were from that team even though they lost.

Yetman was going to go undrafted and would have been a free agent. Why waste the pick?
