I was under the impression that one did not have information about owner, affiliation, or arenas lease agreement.

Constructions scheduled for 8/1/2020 start. 7/31/2022 end.

FWIW, Hershey doesn't have a lease agreement as Hershey Entertainment and Resorts (HERCO) owns Giant Center where Hershey plays.

As of 2011, Derry Township Industrial and Commercial Development Authority is still the owner of the Giant Center while Hershey Resorts merely has the long-term contract to operate the facility..Giant Foods retains original naming rights to Giant Center arena Giant Center's YouTube page created in 2013 corroborates this. Giant Center - Topic and I see nothing indicating a sale of the Giant Center to HERCO.

I got ahead of myself. HERCO isn’t the official owner yet. The township does officially own the property for now but will hand it over to HERCO when it’s all paid off. I can say that HERCO is responsible for any renovations and upgrades. They just dropped close to $5 million for a new scoreboard, ribbon board, and sound system over the past couple of seasons.

Who owns Giant Center?

LVC is a co-tenant. The Bears still practice at Hersheypark Arena when the ice at Giant Center is taken and the arena is used by the community for public skates, youth practice time, etc.

Just to clarify, this was my note under the old 2019-2020 Affiliate post

Ok - here's the 2019-2020 AHL/NHL Affiliation thread. This thread will carry the remainder of the season. During the summer, we can unsticky this one and create the 2020-2021 thread towards the beginning of that season. Then sticky that one. I like rotating in/out threads by season, but open to a perma-sticky if the group thinks its best.

Question for the group. Do we want this format? - as in simple reference? Or do we want to get real detailed and add layers of information on to it... as in years left in affiliation agreements and other details. I'll leave it up to you but for now, here's the current affiliation thread.
