Huge f***ing sigh of relief if it's short term.

Rest him for as long as needed, Chiarot can play his minutes

If it's true that he'll be able to play down the stretch, Panthers will have a serious dilemma between trying to get him healed and trying to get first place in the division.

IF he out for about 6 weeks and misses the rest of the regular season but could very well be ready for game 1 of the playoffs (where have I heard this before???) then I wonder if they don’t need to retain as much on giroux and therefore could offer slightly less? Although, maybe Philly doesn’t mind if it means getting the most assets back. If we could save some, I wonder if we use the remaining assets we would’ve used to add an additional bench piece or something. I guess we’ll find out first tomorrow the severity of the injury but Monday is fast approaching

Great to hear it’s not as bad as we thought. But I’d like to
know exactly what the injury is.

So keep him out until the playoffs and make sure he’s as close
to 100 % when he returns.

Don’t sweat the first place situation.
