If near PPG is his usual, he is worth the contract. He is still on a 75 pt pace with over 25gGuy had an up year last year and is back to usual this year, aka NOT WORTH THE CONTRACT.

Sorry, I am confused the ppg player since arriving in Vancouver is having a down year cause he may not finish at a ppg just slightly under...dear god the sky is falling. Canucks fans must have post L. Eriksucks syndrome that guy was a shitshow who got paid 6m x 6yrs for next to no production then the idiot GM who signed him then traded LE and 2 others that had expiring contracts totalling 12m and instead traded for an overpaid D in OEL who was trending down and gave up a top 10 pick and a 2nd round pick.Guy had an up year last year and is back to usual this year, aka NOT WORTH THE CONTRACT.
100% but that will never stop the hatred toward JT or his contract. Last years teams would have loved to acquire him and if he was traded whoever acquired him would have given him the same damn contract...If near PPG is his usual, he is worth the contract. He is still on a 75 pt pace with over 25g
Canucks are screwed if they trade Miller, no?
What center depth do they have
I remember a lot of the talk from other teams fans was that Miller wasn’t worth trading for without a contract extension in place. Now that he’s got that extension he’s somehow not worth trading for according to HF. The consensus on this board is often very wrong though.100% but that will never stop the hatred toward JT or his contract. Funny how Horvat got an extra year of term and 500k per season more and has never put up close to the points JT has...
I think the plan with signing Miller was always to sign Horvat as well, it never made sense to sign one and not the other. Horvat obviously was asking for way more than they expected and then with this season completely priced himself out. It will be interesting to see what direction this management group decides to go with Miller but if the Horvat trade is any indication it looks like this management group might be finally embracing a move aggressive retool based around the younger core group of players. Will be interesting to see what happens between now and the draft.I suspect a Miller trade is Vancouver finally embracing a proper rebuild. If that does happen, it's too bad they didn't start it this season with a BC native superstar who grew up a Canucks fan as the top price.
But Aquilini needs to hold out on his delusion we were somehow gonna be a playful team.
100 point players get significantly more that $8m, more like $10mGuy had an up year last year and is back to usual this year, aka NOT WORTH THE CONTRACT.
An 8 year contract that can be bought out anytime up to 2026 for $850K a year. The irony of this statement when the Canes signed KK to a 8 year contract.
