- QUOTES -
JON COOPER: "The energy with the group was outstanding. You detail something out in between periods, and they went out there and tried to execute it. It was a lot of fun in the game. Nashville’s a great atmosphere to play in, so I think the guys had a ton of fun. Any time you can sneak through here, especially with some of the guys they had in the lineup, and get a win, it was great."
"I didn’t know a ton about (Matt Tomkins). I knew he was coming over from Europe, but he stood in there. He was calm. He was poised. He didn’t look like anything was rattling him at all, especially when everything was buzzing around him in the third period. It was great to see that performance."
MATT TOMKINS: "I felt great. I just wanted to keep it simple, and kinda do my thing. I felt good right off the bat. I think despite how we might have felt throughout the game, we did an awesome job keeping them to the perimeter and blocking a lot of shots. The guys did a really great job, and that made my job pretty easy tonight, so that was awesome to see."
"My experience was great over there (in Sweden). I enjoyed my time over there, but certaintly wanted an oppertunity to come back to North America and the oppertunity came up with the Lightning, so it was a no brainer for me to come back and try to play in the NHL. That's always been a dream of mine. I'm just trying to seize everyday here and take advantage of the oppertunities as they come, and make the most of it. It's really exciting to be back in North America, and with a world class organization. It's awesome, and it's good to be apart of the group."
"I'm taking it day to day. It's a really good oppertunity to show my game here. Obviously I had a couple years over there in Europe, so this is a good chance to show the improvements that have come along with that, and really just to get settled in the organization, and get familar with everyone. "
LET'S GO BOLTS!
