Yes and it was a good decision. As much as some folk are typically whining about the USA team Kessel would only make them worse. As a Canadian I was hoping they would pick him.

The gap in talent between the teams is monumental and the U.S. needed their goalie to steal the game. Problem is, they chose the worst one on the roster

Kessel was the best forward on team USA at Sochi and almost won playoff MVP to go with his Stanley Cup in June. Its is ridiculous to think he would make team USA worse off now.
