Here are the rules:
The draft is 7 rounds long with the order being determined by the final standings along with the draft lottery results to figure out the first 14 picks, with the last 16 teams picking where the finish in the regular season standings. The subsequent rounds will follow the same format.

No trades are allowed as this has slowed down the whole process in past years.

My draft pick list is final, unless you can present me with proof in the form of a link.

One team per participant.

Participants must be able and willing to visit HF Boards at least once a day while this draft is ongoing. If you will be away for a time you must give me a sequential list via PM from which too select from.

New CBA rules apply for all eligible prospects.

New Rule: for rounds 2-7 time to pick will drop th 12 hours. Weekends and midnight to 8 am EST are still off times.

If you drop out or are longer than 24 hours on any pick, I will pick for you unless a list has been provided. Once you have missed two picks in a row, you will be officially thought of as dropped out so we will not need to wait the full 24 hours on future selections.

Weekends are off times since some of us have families, however, feel free to keep picking if it is your turn.

After you make your teams selection, please inform the next GM in your selection post (Example is “Washington is now on the clockâ€). Also, the best way to speed these things up is to send PM's (private messages) to the next GM that his turn is now.

All draft selections will be posted on the first post of this thread. Make sure you take a look here and at all other posts in this thread before making your teams selection as that prospect may already be selected. I will try to update this first post with all info as it comes but I may not be able to keep it current after every selection.

It's hard to get an exact order because of conditional picks. But the Isles probably get the Oilers' 4th (in the Peca deal) and the Oilers get a 5th or 7th (probably 7th) from FLA in the Semenov trade.

Toronto's 4th round pick was traded to Carolina for Jeff O'Neill, and Carolina traded it to St. Louis as part of the Doug Weight deal.

Toronto's 5th round pick was traded to Columbus for Luke Richardson.

Note to all Poolies.

Listen fellas, as I said in my original posted rules, I need a link to prove these traded picks or my list stands. I will not be changing any "conditional" picks.

Captain Conservative said:
St.Louis is pleased to welcome towering defenseman Erik Johnson to the organization. As Calgary has shown, there is no such thing as too much prospect depth on defense.

Did you PM the next GM?
Where is the "Pittsburgh is now on the board" message that is required?

The Isles select Derick Brassard

normally the Isles don't pick players from the CHL and especially the Q, but Brassard is too good to pass up
