Chris Conner couldn't be called up as he's not on an NHL contract.

Yes, I would think Read, Lindblom, Vecchione, McDonald and Martel would all be ahead of him right now as options for a short term callup.

Tbf, it can be a bit annoying seeing people obsess over some of our prospects, especially Sanheim. Hence the "golden boy" comment, I assume. We're all rooting for him, but some people take it to another level.

I hope he doesn't become the next Couturier where it's completely impossible to have a reasonable discussion about the player.
