Checking and covering the proper man (Pirri is HILARIOUSLY bad at this), as well. Amongst a number of other things we can list.

Idk, I cant recall Pirri burning us in the d zone thus far.

Completely vacated the front of the net and left the opposing C open in Washington for a prime chance against that was stopped.

Other than that, I can't think of one either. I don't think 3rd line duty is unreasonable.

That statement is pretty absurd, but so is saying that he is the worst player on the entire team in his own zone.

He's never burned anyone in the D-zone.

He's not good defensively and he's not bad. He just exists, largely reflecting what his team is doing in terms of possession, shots against, and chances against.

It's just Karlsson's Law. "He scores so he must be bad at something."

They all seem to be insanely slow (other than Krug). When did Liles lose speed this badly? He was never SUPER fast, but he's kinda painful right now.

The thing with Pirris defense is people harp on it because of his reputation in the last and not necessarily because of how it really is.

It's biased people to look for it. If it weren't constantly mentioned beforehand it wouldn't be nearly as often here whether true or not
