When was the last time we had a stout defense? Sometime before Cappy? I legit can not remember.
Why can't we have nice things?
Barzal is pretty nice, I will take that... Chimera not so much
CBJ has got to be thinking “How the hell did we lose to these shltbags 10 days ago?”
He is nice. But I want Ws.
Top 3 offense in the league and not making the playoffs is criminal.

Why are you posting their projected career numbers in a GDT?Johnston 2G 2A
AHO 3G 2A
Monster game for these guys!
Didn't realize they play 3 teams vying for that last spot; huge week. A winning team comes through. We'll see what they are made of.
I do know if they had some D support that would go a long way in helping.
I hope you're right. And if you are, as soon as the game's over immediately throw on some sweats and shoes and run out to buy some lottery tickets.Projected for this game Believe!
What are the odds the Islanders outshoots Columbus tonight?
That's a great question.
In the early 2000s, we had Aucoin, Hamrlik, and Jonsson, but we also had Cairns, Ray Schultz, that ***** Janne Niinimaa, Sven Butenschon, etc.
You'd have to go back to the 80s to find a solid defensive roster.
I'd love to have someone associated with the Nashville organization as the next GM. Maybe then things would turn around. (Getting Dahlin couldn't hurt either.........)
In 1992-93, it was not that bad : Malakhov, Norton, Krupp, Kasparaitis, Pilon, Lachance (was still a good prospect at that time), Vaske and Kurvers as a PP specialist (not good defensively though). That's a great question.

Jonsson, Aucoin and Hamrlik... I have always thought that Brendan Witt was ideal d-man to round out that top four. Unfortunately, he came a few years too late.
First post. You guys are awesome, been reading for like 5-6 years now just never made an account. I just wanted to chime in and say...... Another game with Jason Chimera?? Puke
Welcome to Islanders HFBoards!!
