Bro..Who's responsible for giving this coach an extension? Lol
The same person who should have been responsible for firing him in June. Hopefully the same person who will be firing him in the next few weeks.

The core of this group has won at every level they’ve played. They didn’t suddenly just become dumb, lazy hockey players. Starting every game flatter than a popped tire and the lack of preparation comes down to the coach.

OK you lost me at Obama since he's solely responsible for putting the country in it's worst debt it's ever been in history of the world.
Second..JG has been here since what? 2007/2008?
Don't act like he hasn't been around the organization long enough not to know what's going on.
He was handed a WINNING roster on a silver platter.
Did he ever do anything to supplement that roster>
Has he ever added anything to strengthen positions that needed to be addressed?
This CLOWN hasn't done a ****ing thing to help this team in the least!

A WINNING with salaries that cannot be replaced, an aging team that is on a clock, with absolutely no prospects and high draft picks to speak of?

If he continued to push for a winning team at all cost, we would likely be looking at 10 years of absolute dark age hockey.

Has he ever added anything to strengthen positions that needed to be address, you ask?

Youth, talent, draft picks. He dumped Girardi and soon Staal, worst contracts of the last 10 years of this franchise that he inherited.

It's easy to be short sighted until you're actually managing for the long haul.

It's clear you wanted for this team to compete for 2 more years at all cost, trading away more picks for rentals and making long term high dollar signings during FA that will prevent signing our own players down the road. That would have been absolutely terrible management.

Toronto announcers were stating how opposing teams players LOVE TO play against the Maple Leafs in front of their personal friends and family, growing up in or near Toronto.

Yeah, we know this......opposing players LOVE to play in the bright lights of of broadway........that is, until they play here for 41 games a season.

This is just illustration of survival of the fittest. Knowing that you need to change is invaluable. How much and what to change is the challenge.
The Rangers need to change but they have to be careful to not go overboard. There are some very good young players here and in the prospect pool. I actually am very excited about this season because of the changes it will bring.

Glad I'm at work right now instead of watching what is, apparently, a **** show. Makes me feel better about not bothering to try and get off work this Saturday when they're in Nashville.

JG should've nipped this shit in the bud.
Instead..He gives him and extension all while replacing players that aren't capable of playing the positions they were signed for.
This guy's a f***ing idiot to put it mildly..

Tobs..What are you talking about?
He got rid of players that were still in their prime and PRODUCING for garbage that can never hold a candle.
The proof is on the f***ing TV right in front of you!

Whats with Skjei trying to be a rover these days?
I think we have seen more of that recently. It's a bit of throwback in him trying to maximize his skating ability, with a forward sliding into coverage for him. One of the things that is wrong with this is that Skjei, who I still want the Rangers to keep, is not really an offensive threat on his own. He could be a real threat if the offense was in place and working with that, but it does not work well.

Which trades?

It's true that it's too bad that the team is one year away from having all the trade aways be a part of the team, contributing.

Hopefully once Chytil, ADA, Andersson are ready, we'll look better next year and forget about this year
