JANUARY SCHEDULE:

QUOTES TO NOTE:

The main thing is, we want a group in here that’s willing to whatever it takes to win.
Right now, we don’t have enough guys going like that.
We had guys at times playing the way we want to play, but for us to be successful we need everybody buying in.
Right now, we don’t want it. If we do the same thing against PIT, it’s going to be the same result.
I hope our guys understand the importance of tomorrow.
- Ryan McDonagh

It was self-inflicted wounds. It’s a communication thing.
We need to be louder, point more, do something, because we need to clean that up, for sure.
- Brady Skjei

Goals one, three and four, we had numbers and we just don’t check.
I didn’t expect this at all today, not with the importance of this game, and the rival we were playing against.
- Alain Vigneault

I wonder how well this team communicates with each other on ice in real-time.
That fantastical screwup against Las Vegas with defenders bunched up was a clear indication to me that something is wrong. I think it continues, so seeing Skjei's comment was good to see somebody saying it out loud. Talk to each other, Rangers. Can't blame absolutely every single thing on the system, players have to be able to think for themselves.

Whatever time AV bought with November resurgence is up! Gorton must address it now - the writing is on the wall, has been dried for awhile now, actually.

I will repeat what i said in the post game thread, because I really feel that way.
. Lets chill down, we are all rangers fans, we have our differences but we are all together in this **** hole. We have to remender that all of us cheer for the same thing, a Stanley cup. Positive think that we will the cup in the next 4 years. Lets Go!

"I didn’t expect this at all today" - what a f***ing moron. What a pathetic statement.

Playing arguably their worst hockey of the season (and that's saying something considering how they started) against a resurgent Penguins... what could go wrong?

Kreider being out completely wrecked this team's forward group. I think losing Kreider is worse for the team than losing Zibanejad.

I said it in the Kreider thread, nobody on this team has as much of an impact in the offensive zone as him. Nobody is better at screening the goalie, nobody can win board battles like him. His speed backs defensemen up, it keeps plays alive in the zone and he's the only forward that can retrieve a puck in the offensive zone. And that's what he brings even if he's not scoring.

Team hasn't scored more than 2 goals in a game for what, the last 10 games?

How about a nice solid effort? A 4-1 game or something? I know, I dare to dream, but I think at this point, Hank deserves for his team to play well and for him not to be the sole reason they win.

ALTHOUGH, I know this is AV's Rangers, so the team will come out flat and Hank will face two breakaways or odd man rushes in the first 5 minutes.

Kreider is an elite player.

Nobody cares when he's around but you notice it when he's gone.

It’s a rebuild.
Read a few time and I still don’t understand what you’re saying or what was your point.

You didn't read it well. You have to add the intent into your mind voice besides rolling your eyes and sublingually vocalizing the letters.

There was a narrative that he "bought himself time" floating around, and I said he didn't buy himself shit because that's not how management makes decisions at all.

Note: Cheddar is a money reference if it was a language issue. I know there are several posters from outside of North America.

where did this “AV’s stats package” thing come from?

Zipay wrote about it:

“I’m not a big shot-attempt preacher or believer,” Vigneault said. “We have one of the most sophisticated stats packages, that has evolved through the years, that gives us breakdowns of important things we believe in. I know the shot attempts, Corsi . . . I’ve got other things I rely on. I don’t put too much emphasis on that.”
