Yes there is a lot of area between a #1 defenseman and a PP specialist

And the softie argument against Lundqvist doesn't work this year. Guy is actually having a decent year and has arguably been their best player since November. He is pulling his weight on a poor defensive team.

That's clearly not what I said. That's a criticism of Shattenkirk's defensive ability and inability to execute top 4 defensive roles. With less anchors on the defense, we can afford to have Shattenkirk make mistakes in exchange for the offense and pace that he brings. With this defense, every night it's a circus in the defensive zone on all three pairings and our underlying numbers aren't great either.

I mean I get it, Shattenkirk has had bad moments defensively. But so does the rest of the team, we suck ass defensively, the worst defensive team in the NHL. He needs to be better though, I won't argue.

Antics. Goalies get pissed when the D leaves them hanging. You're acting like it's only Hank that does it. All goalies do.
